Million
of English have celebrated today the Diamond Jubilee of QueenElisabeth II. It is a multinational celebration marking the 60th
anniversary of the accession of Queen Elisabeth II of the United
Kingdom to the thrones of seven countries, upon the death of her
father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952.
English
people celebrated today the Jubilee on the Thames in London. The
river spectacle, officially started with the ringing of Jubilee at
14:40 hours and will end at about 17:30 hours.
The
queen dressed in a white hat and a silver and white coat. She is
accompanied by senior royals, including the Duke of Edinburgh and
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on the boat, which has been decorated
with 10.000 flowers from the royal state.
Prime
Minister, David Cameron, paid tribute to the 86-year-olr Queen too.
All the Londoners and English in general has gone outside full of
English flags to celebrate with their Queen this special day.
The
act will end on the Tower Bridge (that it has been decorated with
coloured lights for this special occasion).
Queen
Elisabeth II is today queen regnant of 16 states and this is not the
normal case. Monarchies has been losing credibility in these last
years, especially in Spain with the King Juan Carlos I hunting
elephants in Botswana. In my opinion, monarchies are part of our
recent history but we have to improve and to became a democratic and
parliamentary countries if we want for example leave the crisis.
Monarchies spent lots of money in journeys, meals, security,
buildings, etc...
In
the other hand it is amazing that a woman could be 60 years in the
power. And
I’m in favour of women in the power because by bad luck men still
govern the history.
