Final reflection

My level of English isn’t excellent but I have learned a lot this year. Nowadays I understand more than the years ago, I think that my fluency is not very good but if we saw since the third of ESO, I can say that I have improve a lot. The blog is a good method to do writings and all we know and to improve the writings.

The best activity I can show my English was the exams because I do all I know. The writings are the other thing that I like because when I write them I put in the writtings all we have learned. The podcasts is the other one because I like a lot, when I recorded I thought for have I’ll say. The worst activity that I show my English is the oral presentation. I didn’t have luck, on day because I don’t study a lot, the other because I have a lot of nervous…

I think that I have learned with all activities we have done. I find really useful lots of things made in class such as listening to my classmate’s presentations, watching films in class and speaking about them in groups, listening songs and doing a little grammar exercises.
In a language all the varieties or things are useful to improve it. I’ve said that my worst part is the oral part but I find it useful to improve fluency and vocabulary.

Next year it will be a complicated year because we’ll be nervous for the selectivity and to get a good level in all the items: writing, reading, speaking and listening. I really like the reading part and the writing but the other two parts are so complicated for me. I really wish to get the level to get good marks.

My future

Currently, I study first of batxillerat. I hope I will pass this academic year; above all I have to pass another national test called selectivitat (in order to enter at university). But there is a lot of time for theses exams yet.

This year has been very difficult for me. I have gone from fourth ESO to batxillerat and the difference of level is very high. The first term I had a lot of work and I had to study so much, I fell chemistry but I had to study harder and harder in order to pass the exam. However I thought that I had already assumed the difficulty of batxillerat but I didn’t do it. The second term I was more confident than the first valuation, but I fell philosophy. Although this situation I pass the final exam. And the third term: I'm studying a lot of to pass all the exams.

My greatest wish is pass the second batxillerat with good marks. I know is too difficult but every year I pass all the subjects with good marks, why not now? The next year I'll put all my strength, my confidence and my hope for next year. I need enough mark of my degree.

Nowadays I don't know what subject I like the best. And less what degree I have to choose. At present I'm interested in the career of optics and optometry, because I love all around this kind. I'm looking all the possibilities to do this and take place in Madrid. But I also was interesting in chemist degree, because I like all associated with this. To choose my career yet, I have to pass so much time, but I cannot sleep.

I have to decide my future, but I thing that I'm child and do the selectivity and choose one degree for me is very big. I hope to pass the time quickly to stay in the degree and forget all related with the selectivity.

I wish that in my narrow future I could study what I want and that it like me a lot. I don’t know if study Chemistry or a Science degree. But one thing that I’m sure is that I will work hard to get it.
I will meet new friends and study in Girona or Barcelona and I will know different kinds of people.
I’m nervous about my future but I know that I have to get it alone with my effort.

Abortion

Artur and Yeray talked about abortion and its risks and the arguments for pro life and pro chose. They said that abortion has two types: the intentional one and the spontaneous. But Rebeca said to me that when the baby dies in the stomach in English it's called a miscarriage.

Their presentation was very good and interesting because abortion is very important to learn new things. There are 40 million abortions every year around the world. There are two methods to do it, the medical and the surgical methods. If one girl does it, there is a big chance of probability secondary consequences, because it's very dangerous for the foetus, such as deformities.

During pregnancy the baby and its mother can suffer some risks like infections or problems, or also the mother can cause psychological damage.

In Spain abortion is completely legal on request. Parents don't need any reason to abort. But the current government has promised to restrict them. But I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Everyone has to decide whether to have an abortion or not.

I think that natural abortions are not problematic because these things happen. But I don't agree with the people that have an intentional abortion. If the person doesn't want any baby the must use protection. But if the mother is very young or suffers from an anomaly I think they can have an abortion.

Before going to Valladolid

This weekend I'm going to go to Valladolid. I'm going to go with my family and my boyfriend.

Today evening I'm going to pack my suitcase. I don't have to forget my bathroom bag, my mobile charger, my night clothes and of course my high-heeled shoes phone and my trainers to walk, and the most important my mobile phone.

There we will probably to Palencia the first day and to Valladolid the other days. My friends told to me that in Valladolid there is a nice cathedral to visit. We will do there if we can. We would like to go in the main square famous fan its buildings and the town hall.

In the morning we will walk across the streets, we'll take photographs and buy souvenirs. At midday we'll eat every day at difference kinds of restaurants like typical ones to eat ''tortilla de patatas'', ''cocido'', ''pimientos rellenos'', ''cabrito'', etc. At afternoons we will relax a bit. We will take a good hotel with spa zone in order to swim and relax two or three hours. At evening we will visit Valladolid at night because the buildings were full of lights to atrack more tourists like us. We will stop the path in a balcony to take a drink or a coffee and talk quietly. At night we will combine dinner in the hotel or outside. After dinner we'll go in a pub or bar to relax and dance a bit.

I hope I like a lot the tripe with all my relatives and that we will spend a nice time, because today I have surfer the internet to online website forescast anal it will probably rain the first day.

My summer

I stay with my family in l'Estartit for two or three weeks every summer or I also spend one or two weeks more in Camprodon. My family love the mountains, the environment, stay close to nature, breathe clean air... But when it's summer and my sister and I love to go to the swimming pool or go to the sea. For this reason we stay half summer on the beach and the other half on the mountain.

Moreover, we can do something else, for example last summer I went to Sheffield in London. I stayed there three weeks and I learnt so much about English people, their habits, their religions and how they live too. Three summers ago I and my family went for a cruise. We went around the Mediterranean sea. I loved this trip because was one of the longest that we did together.

On my summer holidays I sometimes do nothing but at the same time I do many things. I said that because in the summer I do nothing comparing with what I do in winter sine I have a lot of exams, problems... and I don't have so much time to have a rest. Apart from school extra activities. I do a lot of things, moreover I look after my cousins my cousins and this is hard work. This is why in summer I like walkong on the beach, or sunbathing, I also love eating a ice-cream at night with my close friends or my family and above all have a nap.

To sum up, the summer is the best time of the year. I can do anything and I have a lot of free time. I'm so happy, I spend a lot of time with my friends and I enjoy so much. The heat is better than the cold. When you are hot spend all the day in the water and when you are cold you wouldn't do anything if you haven't got a heater.

Qualities than boy or girl

First of all, I must say that when you have a boy/girl friend is because you appreciate high all his/her way of being, personal qualities, physical appearance… But, on the other hand is true that there are aspects in which you look over by certain reasons depending on the person.

On the one hand, I am going to talk about the importance the personal qualities and the way of being of your boy/girl friend. These aspects are the most important if he/she likes you by his/her physical appearance. The way of being of one person is the most important for one relationship, because, apart of the physical appearance, this is why a boy/girl likes you and catches your intention, because you always look for someone who is good person, sincere, that inspires you confidence, that is lovely... However, all these aspects are subordinated to the physical appearance, because for you look for these important aspects one person first must like you and not vice versa.

On the other hand, is true that when you meet someone for first time, are not the personal qualities in which you look at, as you look is if that person is lovely and if he/she has a great body. Once this is accomplished, you intend to check everything said in the last paragraph.

Finally, say that in my opinions both the physical appearance and the personal qualities have the same importance, but personal qualities come after that physical appearance.

London

London is a great mixture of cultures and languages. This is why I’d recommend it to everybody. The best way to travel to London is by an economic class flight. There are lots of flights from Girona to London Stanted or Luton every day. You’d better travel light and on your own. You shouldn’t go on a guided tour, London is easy to get around by tube (the tube is how London people called their underground). The cheapest way to travel by tube is buying the Oyster Card.

London has lots of hostels and bed and breakfast to stay. I’d recommend to check into an hotel near King Cross St Pancras because is well connected and quiet at night. Hotels are not so expensive in this zone.

You should definitely see the Picadilly circus in Oxford Street. Whatever the season that you go is always full of people. And close there it’s worth to enter to China Town to walk, smell and eat the typical confit duck in the Chinese restaurants. That’s good to know that China town becomes dangerous from midnight. Many thieves watch the clueless tourists.
That’s well worth walking around Hyde Park one afternoon when you are tired to buy in Harrods. Oh no! Harrods is the most expensive big store in London you’d better see but not buy anything.
That’s good to know the two biggest markets in London. One is Candem Town. You ought to go there in order to see lots of bizarre stores and all kind of food (Italian, Japanese, Indian food whatever you like is there). The other market is Covent Garden. It is full of street artists. Jugglers, contortionists and clowns are mixed in a big craft market.

You shouldn’t get back from London without seeing the guards of the Tower of London. Their nickname is beefeater and they are always willing to take a photo with you.

It isn’t really worth visiting Buckingham Palace because it is so expensive and you have to do a long queue at about 2 or 3 hours to enter in Palace.

London Eye and Big Ben are two activities that you should do at night. It’s worth to take them a photograph to give as a souvenir when you come back.

Bring back souvenirs such as t shirts, pencils or red little buses. They put always the same slogan ( I love London).

I’ve already been to London. Have you been in London yet?

Diseases

In my opinion my presentation was not very good, I think that it was the worst presentation I could do. The power point I think was the best, because we did with prezi and I think is better than a simple power point, is more beautiful than the simple one, colourful and different. I think we can put all in order and it has a very good organization.

This day I was ill and I didn't study a lot or so much. In this moment I put very nervous and I read all the presentation. I studied a little but I didn't know all, very well, for this reason I read. I thought that the best solution was read it in order to the people understand all I had to do. We could have studied more and next time it won't happen.

My fluency wasn't very well but I did all we had. I have to improve it and I have learned a lot of vocabulary and things that I didn't know. We look for information from the internet and then we wrote more or less the same but with our words. We found all the information on the internet. I think that the vocabulary were good to understand it.

Joana was very good as always. Her pronunciation and her fluency was very good. I envy with her and I think that some day I'll hope to do like her.

Like the presentation was so wrong and poor, we thought that we could repeat it again, because we have to show that we can do it better. For this reason here you can see the other presentation:

HUNGER GAMES

The hunger games take place in a nation called Panem. After the destructions of our civilisation the Capitol create this new country, Panem which is divided in 13 Districts, well, 12 because the 13th was destroyed by its rebellion.

Katniss Everdeen live in District 12 dedicated to the miner works with her daughter Prim, her mother, a awful cat from her daughter and a little goat. In this district people are always hungry because there is not so food for all. Katniss goes to hurt outside to her district (which is illegal) with his friend Gale. He is a very good looking boy and they have a very good relationship. They hurt rabbits, birds, etc and catch roots, strawberries and sell it in the big black market in the district to have money enough to feed their families.

Every year a Hunger Games are celebrate in Panem to remember each District who is the Capitol and its power. Every boy and girl from 10 to 18 has to be in the draw. But this is not correct at all. If you want more food this year you could pay a tribute, change wheat and cereals with more names in the draw. Katniss has her name 20 times and Gale 40. Is the first year that Prim participates in the Games and it’s impossible that her name appears.

The entire district has to be in the main square to see the Hunger Games. Boys and girls have to be separated while adults see them with an enormous pain. There will be only one boy and one girl of each district that could participate in the Games (in total 24 guys). This guys must fight in an Arena especially build for the event and only will win one, the victor. The victor must kill the other 23 participants.

Peeta Mellark was the boy selected and after that name, Katniss almost faints when listen to the name of her little daughter, Prim. She can’t believe what is happening. So she decides to change her place for her daughter.

Peeta and Katniss will be the new tributes of District 12. The Arena appears a few days after lots of public presentations and television interviewers. The Arena is so hard to survive but Katniss is a good hurter with her bow and arrows. She throws a hive full of bees to some guys of other districts and they die. Gradually all the guys died in different situations and a new rule appear, two guys could win if they are from the same District. This is why Katniss starts to look for Peeta who is very injured. She cures him and they starts the last part of the Games together.
Peeta falls in love with Katniss (a real love or a good strategy?) but her heart belongs to Gale. When they end with the last opposite a new rule appear, only one could survive. They decided to eat poisonous berries to commit suicide.

The Capitol decided that the two candidates win this year the Game (but..they don’t know that a new war has started with this brave decision). They win and will return in their lovely district where never will pass hunger enough.

Bankia

Spain is in the eye of all European countries, in concrete, all the eurozone. This is why Spain has decided to help a private bank to solve its financial problems. Every Friday our government announce a new law that drown more our weak economy. Cuts are being very several for medical and educational groups.

It’s known that Bankia has become public these last days, but this is not the end it is only the beginning of the intentions of our government. Europe doesn’t see with good eyes these Spanish intentions so it has stopped the negotiations

The BCE (Banco Central Español) don’t believe that could be possible to inject 23.000 million of Euros to this particular bank. Mariono Rajoy (the actual Spanish president) is favour to this enormous transfer meanwhile Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba (the opposite political party) is against this transfer.

In my opinion the Spanish situations is the worst I’ve ever seen and been since I have reason to. Banks are governing the governments and this is not a good way to improve and to increase economies.

Europe is comparing our situation to the Greece situation before to be rescued. Greece is living a horrible economic situation and we are not far of them. People don’t have enough money to live. The unemployment is more or less as ours. People are angry with politics (who years and years have live like authentic millionaires).

I don’t know how Spain will solve Bankia’s problem but I only know that people are leaving in streets to protest (they are called Indignats). Some people think that we will be rescued this summer but others (more optimistic) believe that a solution is still possible. Pessimistic and optimistic are agree that it could be an injustice to help with 23.000 million euros (money from the citizens) a private bank.

DIAMOND JUBILEE

Million of English have celebrated today the Diamond Jubilee of QueenElisabeth II. It is a multinational celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elisabeth II of the United Kingdom to the thrones of seven countries, upon the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952.

English people celebrated today the Jubilee on the Thames in London. The river spectacle, officially started with the ringing of Jubilee at 14:40 hours and will end at about 17:30 hours.
The queen dressed in a white hat and a silver and white coat. She is accompanied by senior royals, including the Duke of Edinburgh and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on the boat, which has been decorated with 10.000 flowers from the royal state.
Prime Minister, David Cameron, paid tribute to the 86-year-olr Queen too. All the Londoners and English in general has gone outside full of English flags to celebrate with their Queen this special day.

The act will end on the Tower Bridge (that it has been decorated with coloured lights for this special occasion).

Queen Elisabeth II is today queen regnant of 16 states and this is not the normal case. Monarchies has been losing credibility in these last years, especially in Spain with the King Juan Carlos I hunting elephants in Botswana. In my opinion, monarchies are part of our recent history but we have to improve and to became a democratic and parliamentary countries if we want for example leave the crisis. Monarchies spent lots of money in journeys, meals, security, buildings, etc...

In the other hand it is amazing that a woman could be 60 years in the power. And I’m in favour of women in the power because by bad luck men still govern the history.

Eurovision 2012

This year we didn’t win Eurovision as usual. This festival is an annual competition held by European countries. It celebrated in May where the country of the last festival won. Each member of the countries submits a song to the festival and it is voted by the others one.

Every year Eurovision has a strange performance or a strange song that could be the result of wining the festival. Several years ago a group of Nordic dinosaurian men dressed with their guitars won with a heavy song. Or, another year a blond pretty girl won with a performance like a cabaret full of changes in her appearance in public such as a long black dress which became in a very short red dress in a few seconds. Spain participated with a freaky song submit by Chiquilicuatre was favourite to win but it didn’t work).

This year is not different as usual. A group of Russian grannies are the favourite to win. They were from a remote village in the Ural Mountains. They sang a typical Russian song dressed as a typical cultural way. The oldest of them is 76, which makes her the oldest Eurovision participant as ever. But, at the end, they didn’t win.

A group of Irish twins, John and Edward Grimes, were the most voted the Tuesday night’s semi-final so they passed to the big final on Saturday with the grannies and, of course, Spain. The 20-year-old twins dressed in silver and gold costumes with spiky hair. The performance ended with the brothers jumping into a fountain in the middle of the stage.

Finally was Sweden who won the festival with a song called Euphoria. Spain ended in a 10 positions carried by Pastora Soler.

Eurovision is always synonym as an event to celebrate kitsch entertainment. In my opinion, the festival is an old-fashioned event that agglutinated freaky people. It is such a long time that Spain doesn’t win this festival. In this kind of festival is mixed other things far from music and talent. It is full of political interests that make curious things in the votes. For example, Germany only gave us one point and Greece gave us ten points. This is why we have a strong relationship with Greece (Queen Sophia has her roots in Greece) and Germany is angry with us for not doing our financial homework. So, this kind of things shouldn’t have to pass.

Sheffield

I choose this place, because I stayed there last summer. I have been in Sheffield for three weeks and I liked it. I love the place, it’s a very different place that here also I like the town, the typical culture and the buildings that are around the Sheffield. But I don’t like the weather and people because there was a full of different kind of people.

Sheffield has a global reputation as synonymous with hard work and high quality. There are plenty of buildings and business. Sheffield is a city and metropolitan borough of South Yorkshire, England. Its name derives from the River Sheaf, which runs through the city. Moreover we can find the second largest shopping center of all England called Meaddle Hall. It's enormous, beautiful and full of shops. When I stayed in Sheffield I went three times o four and I didn't see all of it.

Apart from this, we can visit others things, for example the Greenspace. It's a square in the middle of the city, which has a big fountain that comes from the floor and changing sizes. In the north we find the largest church in all of Sheffield and all around the square is a kind of green gardens where people can sit there. Others places we could visit are the theatres, the museums, the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, the graves park and ''Rare Breeds'' centre... Perople also could do sport in Rollerblading disco at skate Central, swimming at Ponds Forge Fun Pools, Ice Skating at ''iceSheffield'' International Rinks...

In conclusion, I found Sheffield a good place to live. There are good places to relax, grat restaurants to eat, differents types of food, and good museums or theatres to visit. I recommend you to visit Shefield.

Canada

INTRODUCTION:

Canada is a country in the northern part of North America, bordered by the United States of America to both the south & to the west (Alaska). By area, Canada is the second largest country in the world in land area, after Russia. It has the longest border with water (coastline) of any country in the world. It is next to the Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic Oceans.
Around 34.8 million people live in Canada's ten provinces and three territories, with the majority living in the southern sections of Canada. This is almost the same number as in the US State of California.
Canada has six time zones.
Canada Day on July 1: This is an opportunity to gather in our communities, from coast to coast, and to proudly celebrate all we have in common and to celebrate our achievements, which were born in the audacious vision and shared values of our ancestors, and which are voiced in nearly all of the languages of the world through the contribution of new Canadians.

Canada Day is a time to celebrate the heritage passed down to us through the works of our authors, poets, artists and performers. It is a time to rejoice in the discoveries of our scientific researchers, in the success of our entrepreneurs, and to commemorate our history.

FOOD AND DRINK:

Canadians eat a lot of beef and chicken, less pork then and some lamb. Other speciality meats such as bison (buffalo) is fairly easy to find. Canadians seem reluctant to eat other animals. Horse meat and goat aren't very typical.

Canada specialities:
Maple syrup: Canada is famous for maple syrup and maple syrup products. Canada makes about 80 percent of the world's maple syrup and the majority comes from the region of Quebec.

Poutine: Poutine, although originating in Quebec, is now found across Canada and is considered a typically Canadian dish. It is basically potato chips topped with curd cheese and gravy. Poutine varies across the regions, with some of the Maritime provinces adding meat to the dish, while other provinces use different types of cheeses.

Barbecue: Canadians love to barbecue. You will find barbecues in almost every yard (garden) and on many decks and balconies. Even a small balcony that is only large enough to hold perhaps two chairs will also have a barbecue. Most barbecues are gas and covered so they are easy to light up all year round. It is normal for Canadian families to barbecue in the middle of the winter when it is below zero with snow on the ground.

THINGS TO VISIT:

  • CN Tower
A visit to Toronto is never complete without visiting the world's tallest building, the CN tower. It's at 553m above the ground the views of Toronto and Lake Ontario are unbeatable.
    Toronto, Ontario
  • Rocky Mountains (snow train to Jasper)
The Rocky Mountains are an icon of Canada and an unparalleled sight that is impressive in every way.
    Jasper, Alberta
  • Banff National Park and Lake Louise
In the heart of the Canadian Rockies is Banff National Park, a World Heritage Site designated by the UN.
    Banff, Alberta
  • Stanley Park
A pride of Vancouver and the biggest park in the city. Stanely Park is over 1,000 acres in size. Surrounded by the Seawall, a walking, rollerblading and bicycle route that stretches 8km around the park, through original rainforest and past sandy beaches.
    Vancouver, British Columbia
  • Watch Polar Bears at Churchill
Every year around September the northern Manitoba town of Churchill on the edge of Hudson's Bay welcomes its furry white visitors - Polar Bears. The bears move between the ice and the land during this time and pass by the town making polar bear watching tours possible.
    Churchill, Manitoba
  • Canada's Parliament buildings
Loosely modelled after the British houses of Parliament, the Parliament Hill in Ottawa is the centre of Canada's federal government. Centre Block (the main parliament building) is free to visitors and it is possible to see the Commons and Senate.
    Ottawa, Ontario
  • Niagara falls
The Niagara Falls, located on the Niagara River draining Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, is the collective name for the Horseshoe Falls and the adjacent American Falls along with the comparatively small Bridal Veil Falls, which combined form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world and has a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall (vertical height along with flow rate) in North America.

CONCLUSION

We chose this place because Joana went to Ottawa last summer. We think it's an amazing place with a lot of things to visit. Canada is beautiful and it has a wonderful history.
We hope you enjoyed it. =)
Thank you for listening to our oral presentation.

Carnival has begun

Carnival is a festive event during February or March. The typically carnival involves a public celebration, mask and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebration.

Last Friday night I went to Roses carnival. It is one of the best carnivals here in Alt Empordà. People use to dress up very careful with coloured and shiny. I dress up as a sailor. I wore a kind of dark blue cup with a red ribbon round the head. I wore a striped T-shirt with red skirt.

I fell happy and optimistic. We began the carnival route in front of the sea. We danced all the route from the beginning to the end. The path ended in a big place full of music and crowded the people where everybody danced all the night.

When the party ended we went to a very famous discotheque,Chic. There were plenty of people dressed up with different kind of items: cowboys, firemens, clowns, pirates, witches, etc.

Next Friday I'm going to go the Castelló d'Emúries carnival. We are going to make a route all over the town and we will end in the pavilion where we will dance all the night with my friends. And also in Empuriabrava we'll do the same.

The next two Saturday is Fortià carnival, it is a little different. The party it's only on the might in the pavilion. In there, there are always one music group and the people dance all the night.

There are lots of places where carnival is well know like Venice, Rio de Janeiro or Tenerife. In Venice people use to wear classic clothes with masks in order to full the party with a mysterious costume. And Rio the Janeiro live carnival as a big meeting. All the streets are plenty of people dancing or sambing in the ''Sambódrono''.

Saint Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14. It is a festival of romantic love and many people give cards, letters, flowers or presents to their partners. Common symbols of Valentine's Day are hearts, red roses and Cupid.

Many people celebrate their love for their partner by sending cards or letters, giving gifts or flowers and arranging meals in restaurants or romantic nights in hotels. Valentine's cards are often decorated with images of hearts, red roses or Cupid. Saint Valentine's Day gifts are flowers chocolates, candy, lingerie and champagne or sparkling wine. However, some people use the occasion to present lavish gifts, such as jewellery.

I never celebrate this day because I never had a boyfriend. I saw the other people how gave away presents and things between them, and for them it was a special day, but for me not. This day for me it had little sense until today. Now I have very excited as I have boyfriend since the next July.

In my occasion, my boyfriend stayed very far and we didn't look these day. But for my, the romantic day was the same if he stayed in here. When I returned to home, after the school, I found a very big bunch. I was really excited because I didn't expect it. I never had a bunch and it was very beautiful. Also there was a bracelet with my name and our date.

However I sent him one book made for me with our things, a sweatshirt and also a picture of us framed with a heart shaped frame. All was very romantic.
This day for me, was a very wonderful and fabulous.

Some people from Catalonia don’t celebrate Valentine’s day because we have our love patron. It is Sant Jordi and it’s on 23 April. It’s common to present the boys with books and the girls with red roses in honour to the blood that the dragon shed when Sant Jordi kill the animal.
It doesn’t matter if you celebrated it on February or on April is a special day when the lovers offer their love to other lovers. These days supplies other black days when wars starts or tragic events occur.

We have to celebrate good events to remember the best of the human behaviour.

My talents

Talents are different than skills, in that they tend to be innate rather than learned. Once found, they can develop, but finding them can be tricky. It's partly a process of self-observation and honesty. The rest is learning and practice.

Talents can be very different. They may be artistic or technical, mental or physical, inwardly or outwardly directed.

I'm a person who likes doing lots of things. When is time to study, I'm a good student, but when it comes the time to go the party I'm very fun and enjoyable. I like help people who don't know anything, I'm very responsible and sociable.

I think one of the most talents I do, is to understand people. Actually my friends and people around me come to me. They tell me all of very important and confidentially things. They wait from me my opinion and my advice. And this behaviour has a name: I’m a confidence person.

In the meantime I say everything I don't like in the face. I’m not a spontaneous person but I'm so direct. I don't like the false people and few the people who they have got two faces.

I have other talents like being so empathetic, kind and optimistic. I like doing things like walking, listening to music, and going to the cinema with my boyfriend or friends. I like speaking with my daughter, Laia, long hours about our thoughts. I feel happy in more occasions only with I have had a problem I feel a little sad and I try to speak with somebody close to me in order to solve it.

My childhood

I remember few things from my childhood. But I can think only in good experiences. For example, when I was five, I pulled my sister's hair or I never forget when I fell my first milk tooth. I had more illusion because when I woke up in the morning I found one present under my pillow, but I didn't remember how it was. Those day were fantastic.

Also I and my family went out almost all on Saturdays in the mountain (in Ripoll, Camprodon, Vic...) or in the beach (in l'Estartit, Llançà...) r only went out to eat in anywhere.

Another thing that I remember with affection was in the summer, when I was child I stayed all the time in the swimming pool in l'Estartit, after I had a shower and went with my family in the in the town. There are a famous street and we walked there, more time every year.

In my mind also remember my firs time in the cinema with my friends and my mother. It was very good, I don't never forget.

There is in my childhood a space for the school. I spent lots of years there listening to my teachers, playing with my classmates, studying, doing homework... I have a really good memories of this part of my life.

Above all, this things it's my past and I don't forget never in my life, because all of this are my childhood and I can't complain for anything.

Spanish cuisine

In live in the Mediterranean diet. It consist in healthy food like lots of vegetables, olive oil, tomatoes, peppers, fresh fish, some meat, good wine and natural water, because we have got a good mountains that every year snow, and the water is very well.

A typically recipe is paella (very know in Valencia, composed with saffron rise peas, some meat or fish, beans and a variates of sea food).

But in Catalonia, are of the most typical dish is ''pa amb tomàquet'' bread with tomato and ''botifarra'' a kind of sausage.

The South Spain is popular well know for its tapas. It's typical that when you go to a bar to drink the waiter brings you your drink with some tapes like olives, mini hamburgers, anchvies, etc.

The northern part of Spain is know by the Rivera del Duero wine, the Rioja wine, and empanada of Galicia and la fabada in Asturias.

If you travel to Madrid you would ask for a ''bocata de calamares '' squid sandwich or a good cocido madrileño, like soup. You will be happy and you will feel better.

The Spanish cuisine is a precious treasure that we have to preserve.

Study out of Spain

First of all, I must say that it´s difficult or not easy to the students go to study out of Spain, because you have to be an extrovert and funny person who likes to feel other experiences and you would have to get very good marks to go to a known and famous other school or university, however for going to one country which is not famous and the school or university have not got a good prestige, you do not need to get so good marks. Thus, the truth is that the mark´s grade depends on the university´s country which you want to go.

To begin with, if you travel without the family, friends and maybe boy/girlfriend, you will miss them a lot, and sometimes you could feel depressed or alone. Other disadvantages are that you have to face to another language, culture, foods, manners or modal, weather… Due to this experience, you have to take care of the people of the other country. Also, you could not be used to the kind of food and the different times to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or something so simple like go to the bed or wake up.
Another disadvantage is there you do not have your ever friends, and you must try to find good new and good friends.

Even thought, we have been taking about bad things that you have when you go to study in other place, there are a lot of good things and new experiences that very few people can experiment and feel. The first and maybe also the most important thing (at least to me), is that you do not have to pay money, or if you pay it´s so little, because the majority are subsidized by the government. Other positive things are that you are going to finish your university degree in other country, learning another language, culture… and in general another type of life.

In conclusion, is good for everybody to go to study a different place because it gives to you qualities that you cannot learn if you have not got this experience.

US tornadoes

1 March 2012

Storms and tornadoes have left at least 13 people dead. The states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Alabama from the Midwest US have been affected by a considerable among of storms and tornadoes theses last days.
Electrical lines had been broken, services had been cancelled and an unknown number of people are missing.
Meteorologists think that there had been more or less 90 tornadoes and 700 weather events in these last days. This is one of the most catastrophic events in the last one hundred years in these US states. Tornadoes are possibly generated by a cold storm from the Rocky Mountains that hits a warm storm from the East.

This month is an unusual month for tornadoes but surprisingly tornadoes with a very strength are now there. Some towns were completely destroyed (no water service, no electricity and lots of houses are damaged). People are scary for this peak of strong storms and tornadoes.
Rescue workers are searching for survivors trapped in homes, roads and buildings in general. In one town a roof from a school has flown like a weak slice of paper and the bus school has been thrown against a restaurant. The situation is dramatic. At least 40 homes has beendestroyed and 150 has been damaged in only one state.

There was a twister in one state (Illionis) that was classified as the second-highest rating twister all over the times. The tornado was 200 yards (183 m) wide and it generated wind speeds of up to 170 mph (274 km/h). It’s crazy!

Whitney Houston dies

12 February 2012

Whitney Houston lived the best and the worst of a musical career. She was a good singer and a good actress. She lived on the top and on the bottom of the life.

She was the queen of the music from the mid-80s to the late 90s. She was beautiful, kind and with an extraordinary voice. Her father was a gospel singer and she was the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin.

She started singing gospel like her family. Then, she spent her youth singing with such a several well known singers. In 1985 her first record was the biggest-selling album by a debut artist. She surpassed The Beatles.
Her “light” and her powerful voice arrived to Hollywood. In 1992 she starred in The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner. The song in the film won a Grammy and it succeeds all over the countries and generations.
Then she started to abuse drugs (cocaine, marijuana and pills) and the hits stopped.
In 1992 she married with the hip-hop singer Bobby Brown. They has a daughter, Bobbi Kristina (with the divorce in 2007 Whitney got the custody).
Her decline started: she often visited rehab clinics, she missed concert dates and she has been stopped in airports carrying drugs.

And at the end she has been found in a room of a hotel alone and dead in thebath. This was the night before the Grammy ceremony where Adele won all. One star ends and one other begins to brigh

Costa Cruises Sunken

13 January of 2012

A ship carrying more than 4000 people ran aground off Italy. It was the Costa Concordia by the Costa Cruises. There were authentic scenes of panic in the Costa Concordia hit on Friday evening near the island of Giglio.
Passengers from Italy (1000), Germany (500) and France (160) were on boat. Passengers were eating dinner when they heard a loud noise and the captain said that they had electrical problems. After it was announced a general emergency and the worst part started. Most of the people reached land by lifeboats in a scary atmosphere. These scenes reminded scenes from the film Titanic. They were scared and freezing...some of them died. Helicopters evacuated the last 50 people trapped on the ship.
Rescued passengers were accommodated in hotels and schools in Giglio. Coast guard officials think the tragedy passed as a result of sailing too close to an obstacle like a reef. At the end, sadly, 32 people were dead.

One month later, another tragedy occurred. Costa Allegra was sailing with 135 Italian, 127 French, 97 Austrians, 90 Swiss, 38 Germans and 31 Britons when it sunk. They sailed from Alphonse Island to the main island in the Seychelles in the Indic Ocean close to Africa. A fire in the ship’s generator room on Monday caused it to lose all power.
Surprisingly the ship is from the same fleet as the Costa Concordia, Costa Cruises. The ship is at the southern end of the seas where they were vulnerable to attacks by Somali pirates.

So, is it safe to travel by boat? Let me think.

Should the experience on human life have limits?

Nowadays technology and science are very developed, especially in the first countries. The limits are very far. The people have in their houses medicine, computers, phones, machines...

I agree with the idea that the experiments on human life shoved have limits because people have to experiment with the body, the thought... And people want to know more things about their body, an why they have problems with their health... And I think that for these things experimention is very good.
On the other hand, I disagree with this idea because on day in the future those experiments will be wrong. For example, the facebook, the people know every thing you do, at any time... the other bad thing is the scientific experiments, like the CERN, for example it is good to discover new things but it is dangerous for the other people.
The people are able to experiment the evolution, the life... But one day these things will not be okey.

I think now it is impossible to stop technology and science. And humans must be aware that there may come a point very dangerous, because one day will come to cause wars because of technology.
